There is so much to see and several ways to interact with the animals safely. This is a great place for children too.
Entering The Green Planet
One you purchase your ticket and put on your bracelet, you can enter the facility. You will enter on the ground floor. An employee will take a few tourist pictures of you against a green screen and then send you to the elevator where you will go up to the fourth floor.
When you step out of the elevators, you will notice all kinds of life. There will be exotic birds flying around making unfamiliar noises. You will probably see a sloth hanging out and some lemurs. There is a bat room for you to walk in and get freaked out when you are buzzed by several bats. All of this nature is right there before you and it’s not running from you.
The birds land right next to you. They will sit in one spot and let you take selfies or extreme close ups. Some of the brave people touch the birds even though I don’t think you’re supposed to. It’s a chaotic experience where everyone is blown away by how special and amazing the experience is.
From the fourth floor, you start to walk down toward the first floor and pass many different things including a bridge to a tree where you can see tons of birds, a waterfall, rabbits, turtles, reptiles, sloths, and so much more. The walk is at your own pace. No one is pushing you along. It seems like you can stay all day if you want.
Visit Fluffy At The Bottom
Fluffy, a bearcat, is the largest animal at the destination. He is two years old. His favorite food is bananas, grapes and cooked chicken. He’s close to the exit before the waterfall. He just sleeps and sleeps and sleeps like my little brother.
The bearcat is part of the Viverridae family, which only inhabits the eastern hemisphere. Their tails are long and their bodies are bear-like. Under their tails are scent glands that mark territory.
Bearcats can grow to a weight of 30kg. Fluffy weighs 14kg. He can also live up to 25 years.
He was born in a zoo in Serbia. He was named Fluffy due to his fluffy appearance. At the moment, Fluffy can be found living in the biodome. Fluffy is an adorable celebrity that can’t be missed.
The Sloth Experience at Green Planet Dubai
There are so many experiences to choose from at the Green Planet Dubai. I chose the Sloth experience because I’ve always wanted to touch one and interact. It wasn’t that expensive and the Sloth’s caretaker was really informative. She gave us cut up chunks of food to feed the sloth while she gave our little group of 12 people a presentation on sloths and interesting facts about them.
I have been trying to get to Costa Rica for a long time just so I can get some pics with sloth and I thought it was amazing that I could do this in Dubai. There was no way I could pass this bucket list item up. Sloths really are slow and dumb and I mean that in the nicest way. They are so adorable.
Take a Course on Animal Care
The Green Planet is a fun and educational day out for kids and adults alike. It’s a great way to introduce children to the importance of protecting our planet’s oldest living ecosystems. This eco-themed complex is located inside City Walk in Jumeirah, Dubai.
You can also participate in the zookeeper for a day program. During this experience, you will learn to interact with the animals and care for them.
Camp in the Rainforest
Camping in the Rainforest is one of the most popular activities at the Green Planet. Visitors can choose between tents and hammocks, which are located inside the bio-dome. To ensure your safety, trained staff will guide you. For those who prefer a more private experience, they also offer smaller tents that can fit two people.
Overnight camping at the Green Planet offers visitors the chance to sleep in a biodome with a population of 3,000 animals. There are a number of packages available, and prices start at AED 700 for two guests.
During your overnight stay, you’ll have a chance to interact with many of the animal species. You can also take part in feeding, scavenger hunts, and nighttime tours. After the tour is over, you’ll be treated to breakfast at the Green Planet Cafe.
Get Close to Animals
Visitors can get up close and personal with animals at the Green Planet Dubai. They can take part in a number of activities, including a nighttime jungle sleepover. These are all designed to teach kids about the importance of the rainforest and how animals interact with the natural environment.
There’s also the Sloth Experience, which gives guests a chance to interact with sloths. Guests will learn about how these two-toed animals live in the rainforest. Guests will also get a chance to take pictures with the sloths.

Night at The Rainforest is another new experience at the Green Planet. This includes a scavenger hunt, animal encounters, and a nature-themed film. You can also book a space for select Thursdays.
Another great activity at the Green Planet is the Thunderstorm show. This is a five-minute show that features high-tech audio and video effects. Guests are able to witness red-bellied piranhas running wild and a tamarin monkey twins playfully interacting with each other.
The Green Planet also offers a number of other cool activities. They include animal displays, bird watching, and stargazing. Many of these activities are designed to engage kids and families.
Another good reason to visit the Green Planet Dubai is to experience the world’s largest indoor man-made tree. This is one of the most unique features of the park.
The Green Planet also features an outdoor rainforest-themed dining center. There, guests can enjoy gourmet delicacies.
