I saw this sign for Last Travel in Caserta, Italy just outside of Naples and thought what could that be? Why would someone go on their “last travel”??? Turns out it’s a funeral home. How clever is that?
The traffic was pretty congested on my first pass so I didn’t get the picture. I had to go around the block to get the picture which was a nightmare. It had to be done though because we all know the story isn’t true unless there’s a picture!!!
The roads throughout Naples, Italy are pretty old and beat up. There is a lot of cobblestone which looks cool but actually sucks to drive on. The Neapolitans don’t waste money on paint so there’s no striping.
Good for these guys for being witty and making the best of a bad situation. It’s also cool to see how close Italian is to English with the following words:
- Servizi = services
- Funebri = funeral
- Cimiteriali = cemetery
- Articuli = articles
- Sacri = sacred
This is the kind of stuff you encounter when you see the world… It’s the stuff you’re friends won’t believe so you have to get a picture.
